The day is full of interactive and hands-on learning and can be run for KS1 or KS2 pupils
Workshops
Classroom Roleplay
Set in our Victorian classroom, pupils will
be given an authentic lesson from a role
play teacher. Pupils will practise writing
on slates, learn their timetables Victorian
style and find out what discipline was like
in Victorian schools.
Object Handling and
Victorian Games
Pupils will be asked to explore a number
of Victorian objects and see if they can
work out what they were used for. For
younger pupils (Infants and KS1) we also
offer an alternative workshop focusing
on toys and games.
Guided Gallery Visit
Staff will be on hand to assist you during
a visit round our Museum galleries. Pupils
will be asked to try out our interactive
stations and discover more about the
history of Manor Street School, our
Victorian industries and life.
Lunch
We have indoor lunch facilities for schools to use.
