World War II
Discover the hardships and heroism of World War II with a focus on the local realities of the conflict. This session can be delivered for KS1 and KS2 andencourages pupils to broaden their historical understanding, chronology and use of historical terms.

Evacuee Classroom
Roleplay
An authentic wartime classroom session
allowing pupils to capture the essence of
1940s education.
Object Handling
This workshop offers pupils a chance
to come face to face with original
wartime uniforms and objects. Rationing
is also explored.
Guided Gallery Visit
Students will explore our historical displays
including our exhibition on local WWII
history with the help of a quiz sheet. Pupils
will also learn about the Blitz and practise
an air raid drill.
