1. To support those who are likely unable to afford Museum admission prices and offer a warm space for people to spend significant time exploring the collections, Braintree Museum will be offering free Saturday admission from the 1st of October.
On these Saturdays we will be offering free children’s crafts as well as a warm drink. Admission donations welcome.

2. The Museum will be offering short-term volunteer opportunities to support anyone wanting to support the Museum, gain experience, socialise and be in a warm location. This will include sorting of craft materials, putting together activity packs, litter picking.

3. Craft and activity supplies to be dropped off at the local Jobcentre and Food Banks to distribute for the school holidays.

4. The Museum has made available free sanitary products, nappies, wet wipes in all our bathrooms for visitors, volunteers and staff.

5. Our Braintree Museum Takeover Days with Community 360 will continue during the school holidays. Offering full days supporting play, learning and creativity at the Museum for primary school children from low income families.
These days include a warm meal at lunchtime and activity packs for the children to take home.
