Braintree Museum Holiday Club

Braintree Museum Holiday Club

Braintree Museum Holiday Club supports and inspires the wellbeing of local primary school children from low income or ‘just about managing’ families during school holidays through art and culture-based activities and exercise all through engagement with our collections and history.
These days are free to attend and include breakfast and a hot lunch for each child as well as an activity pack they can take home.

Braintree Museum started this project during the pandemic in December 2021, running nine successful Braintree Museum Holiday Club over the course of three school holidays supporting 117 children. We have continued to deliver these sessions since then now supporting close to 200 children.

This project is being delivered in partnership between Braintree District Museum Trust, Community360 and Active Braintree Foundation all sharing similar values in wanting to provide cultural access, improve people’s quality of life and give equal opportunities for all.
