Be inspired from original artwork by the Bardfield Artists before creating one of the following:
- Design and make your own greetings card.
- Make an exciting 3D clay model.

Explore the Museum’s Gallery and find out about famous people who lived in the local area before creating one of the following:
- Draw a map of your local area.
- Design your very own local history poster.
Be a Naturalist like John Ray
Learn about the work of ‘the father of British Natural History’, John Ray, before doing the following:
- Try your hand at grouping plants and animals together.
- Design a picture using natural materials.

Do you have Disabled Access?
The Museum has full disabled access, including toilet facilities and a sloped entrance ramp.
How long does the sleepover last?
Our sleepovers start at approximately 6:00pm and finish at 9:30am the next day.
Where is the sleeping area?
Groups will stay in our hall which is located in the former Infants School connected to the Main Museum.
Do you have separate sleeping quarters for children and leaders?
Yes. While children sleep in the hall, leaders and parents will be required to sleep in two adjoining corridors.
What does the sleepover include?
The Museum offers a range of engaging workshops to help you complete Activity or Skills badges. Alternatively, you can also organize your own activities.
What should I bring?
- Sleeping bag
- Roll mat
- Pillow
- Wash bag (make sure to include your toothbrush!)
- Pyjamas
- Torch
- Water bottle
Health and Safety
On arrival to the Museum, each group will be given health and safety instructions from a member of staff, who will then stay with you and facilitate each workshop until lights out. You will then be left on your own until 8:30am when a member of staff will return to open the Shop. During this time, the Museum will be closed.
Group leaders are responsible to ensure that the appropriate safeguarding procedures are followed at all times. All groups should have the correct adult to child ratio, approximately 1:6.

What are the responsibilities of the Leaders and other Accompanying Adults?
You are responsible for the safety and safeguarding of your group throughout the whole night.
While completing workshops and activities round the Museum, all groups must be accompanied by an adult.
